Deactivates 97% of viruses
LightAir IonFlow technology is scientifically proven to deactivate more than 97% of viruses in the air! The viruses are made harmless immediately in the air as the negative ions attach to them making sure they will never bother you.
The study included animal study. It showed that none of the animals got sick when exposed to the virus when the IonFlow air purifier was on while 75% got sick when the air purifier was turned off. In real-life, this would mean that LightAir IonFlow air purifiers would prevent or minimize the risk for you, your family and colleagues getting sick.

Size matters!
Can typical filter based air purifiers protect me from virus infections?
More than 90% of all particles in the air are smaller than PM0.1 (micron) and HEPA filter air purifiers can in best case only catch particles down to PM0.1, but not below. Viruses are extremely small particles, below PM0.05-0.003, and are impossible to catch in any affecting number with regular HEPA filter air purifiers. If a virus is caught in the HEPA filter it also stays alive and can be release into the air again. The IonFlow technology deactivates the infectivity of the virus already in the air, making sure they become harmless. The CellFlow technology removes the viruses and then deactivates them in the process.
What about bacteria and other microbes?
LightAir has carried out successful testing on mold and bacteria. The tests show that LightAir air purifiers effectively reduce the concentration mold spores as well as inhibits the growth of mold. Laboratory tests have also proven that LightAir air purifiers effectively reduces the concentration of bacteria. LightAir is planning to further explore the effects on different microbes.
